Opening Night!
Just in time! Our season opener is like a love note from home: Long-awaited. Warm. Familiar. Yet full of surprising, good news. Our first two pieces, musical postcards, remind us to celebrate life and each other. Then, as always, Copland picks us up on America’s busy highway, drops us into the heartland, and puts everything we love about this country into a musical score we want to share over and over again with family and friends. And what better finale than a message of pure joy! Tchaikovsky takes us deep into the Ukrainian countryside searching for familiar folk songs, then adds orchestral color, rhythm, and a sweep of energy to create one of the most brilliant musical stories of all time.
